The IVA-AE2 Continuous Performance Test (CPT) is a test of visual and auditory attention and impulse control, designed to help health professionals in their evaluation of attention and response control functioning. The IVA-AE2 provides a measure of general cognitive functioning of adults that may be useful in a variety of ways.
The use of the IVA-AE2 requires that it be administered in accordance with the specified test guidelines under the supervision of a licensed health care professional who is qualified in the administration of psychological tests. The test is not to be used as a stand-alone diagnostic instrument. By itself, it does not identify the presence or absence of any clinical diagnosis, but can provide data that is helpful to clinicians as part of their comprehensive evaluation.
